CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- Head coach Katie Hultin has led the Illini to another milestone in her first year at the helm.
Illinois received a bid to the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since 2020, earning a nine-seed. Only the top ten teams in the conference receive bids.
The Illini will take on the eight-seed Ohio State in the first round of play on Thursday, October 30, at 2:30 p.m. at Purdue. The semifinal and final rounds will then be played at Energizer Park in St. Louis.
Illinois finished the 2025 regular season with a 12-4-2 record, going 5-4-2 against Big Ten opponents. In its last Big Ten Tournament appearance, Illinois fell to Iowa in the first round.
