LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (PIX11) -- The New York City Council will hold a final vote Wednesday morning on the One LIC Neighborhood Plan.

It includes rezoning parts of Long Island City to allow for residential development in areas that are currently mostly commercial and industrial, as well as connecting Gantry State Park to Queensbridge Park near the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge.

On Monday afternoon, City Councilwoman Julie Won accused Con Edison of backtracking on a promise to get the deal done. Con Ed uses part of the land that would be needed to make a public walkway to connect lower Long Island City to the northern half.
