The Ottawa Senators hit their own version of a home run on Monday night.
While all eyes were on the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 3 of the World Series in Los Angeles, the Senators served notice to the Eastern Conference that they’re back in fine form with a whopping 7-2 victory over the Boston Bruins.
Drake Batherson led the attack with two goals and a three-point effort, while Tim Stutzle had two as the Senators scored four times on the power play and Jake Sanderson had three assists.
Fabian Zetterlund, who got the piano off his back with his first, Nick Cousins and Claude Giroux also chipped in as the Senators extended their winning streak to three straight in front of 16,168 at the Canadian Tire Centre.
