A fan at a Pittsburgh Penguins game was reportedly rushed to a hospital in critical condition after falling from the upper concourse at PPG Paints Arena.
The incident happened at Monday night’s game between the Penguins and St. Louis Blues, won 6-3 by the hosts, early in the first period after Anthony Mantha gave the home team a 2-0 lead, according to The Associated Press.
The man, who was not identified, was treated at the scene by emergency personnel before being rushed to the city’s Mercy hospital, which is located a few blocks away from the downtown Pittsburgh arena.
The incident was witnessed by a Trib Live news editor and High School Sports Network producer, according to Trib Live, who were both watching the game as fans.
