CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Two years ago, Radix Recovery founder Courtney Brennaman walked the halls of Higley Mansion in Cedar Rapids and saw it could become something more.

Inspired by her father’s sobriety journey, she decided the space could be used for a recovery center.

“It was just incredible to see the positive change that he made in his life, a new person,” Brennaman said.

Radix Recovery opened to outpatient services in the spring and will start accepting people for inpatient treatment November 1st.

CEO Jacob Christenson said Radix Recovery accepts a range of insurance plans, including Medicaid, and its inpatient program lasts at least a month.
