EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Members of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation board approved a collective bargaining agreement with the Evansville Teachers Association.

This agreement sustains the district’s fiscal health, while guaranteeing raises for teachers, along with improving other benefits like leave.

A tentative agreement between the ETA and the EVSC school board was reached at the start of this month, then posted publicly. Tonight, board members voted to approve it officially.

In the past, reaching an agreement has been no easy feat.

“The process was very good this time, there was a lot of collaboration from both sides,” Julie Anoskey, music teacher, said. “We worked very hard with the EVSC, and they did very well in listening. And there was a lot of discussion back and
