ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Marnice Stewart’s first trip outside the United States seemed to be going perfectly.

The St. Louis beautician and her family traveled to Montego Bay, Jamaica, to celebrate her sister’s 35th birthday.

“When we first got here, everything was pretty much going according to plan,” Stewart said. “Thursday and Friday, we definitely had a ball. We came Saturday, things did slightly start changing.”

Airports closed and their flights were canceled,

Now, like many tourists, Stewart and her family are gearing up for the massive Category 5 hurricane, Melissa, that is set to make landfall in Jamaica.
