: National People’s Party (NPP) leader and Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar has expressed confidence that his party is well-prepared for the upcoming Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) polls.
“We are preparing well. We are working day and night. We are not taking things lightly,” Dhar said, adding that Chief Minister Conrad Sangma is camping in Garo Hills at least one or two days a week to oversee the party’s preparations.
According to ground reports, Dhar said the NPP’s prospects in the region are very good, and he is hopeful of a positive outcome after the election.
