COLUMBIA, S.C. — The longtime Columbia event and catering venue Seawell’s could undergo a major transformation in the near future.
The family-owned property, located near Williams-Brice Stadium, may be rezoned to allow for the construction of 71 townhomes.
The annex and rezoning proposal include the Seawell’s building property and adjacent land often used for tailgating and parking during football season and the South Carolina State Fair. The request is to rezone 1125 Rosewood Drive property from Community Activity Center District to a Mixed-Use District. 1027 Rosewood Drive is also being requested to be annexed and rezoned.
