Cyclone Montha, which has developed over the Bay of Bengal, is expected to make landfall near Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday evening, bringing with it heavy rains and strong winds across coastal Andhra Pradesh, southern Odisha, and parts of northern Tamil Nadu.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the cyclone is likely to cross the Andhra coast between Kakinada and Machilipatnam later on Tuesday.
