CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Chintimini Wildlife Center is the only wildlife rehabilitation center between south of Portland and Eugene, and is entering a new chapter with the introduction of a new interim executive and deputy director.

The center's interim executive director, Alyssa Nelson, and Heather Gibons, the interim deputy director, hope to bring changes amidst the center's current financial struggles.

“It's exciting,” said Nelson. “We have a lot of things that we're working towards. It's also very nerve-wracking. It's a big commitment. But I'm very thrilled to be able to work with the staff that we have as well as the community and the animals that we're focusing on, protecting and celebrating and rehabbing.”
