Penticton Vees (7-5-1-1) concluded its unpredictable weekend with a 2-1 loss to Medicine Hat Tigers (10-4-1), Monday night in Western Hockey League action before 2,811 fans at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Twin brothers Liam and Markus Ruck (born in 2008), who hail from Osoyoos, both scored in the victory with Liam’s marker at 2:42 in the third period standing as the winner. Ethan Neutens replied with an insurance goal scored into an empty net.
Brady Birnie scored the lone goal for the home team with Matteo Danis and Ethan Weber drawing assists.
Jordan Switzer had the win in net with 25 saves. Andrew Reyelts allowed two goals and stopped 27 shots in the Penticton net.
