New Delhi: Paytm has launched a new service that supports UPI payments with the help of international mobile numbers in a big move to improve the financial connectivity of their Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). This update will allow NRIs to make frequent payments, money transfers, and online transactions within India without the assistance of an Indian SIM card. It is the feature, launched by the parent company of Paytm, One97 Communications Ltd., that is currently in beta and allows connecting NRE (Non-Resident External) or NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) bank accounts directly to the Paytm app.
It has added NRIs of 12 countries to its list, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, France, and Malaysia. Through
