Nationals Senator Ross Cadell has revealed details about allegations that TikTok intimidated members of his staff in response to questions about the Chinese-owned social media platform.
It comes after Mr Cadell called out TikTok for “bullying” his staff during a Senate hearing into the government’s social media age ban on Tuesday.
Mr Cadell told Sky News that a TikTok representative contacted his staff member during a previous senate hearing.
“They (the TikTok employee) said that, ‘We have great relationships with the leader's office. We have great relationships with the shadow minister's office’,” he said.
“You know, you don't want to be saying these things.”
Mr Cadell said since calling out the behaviour, TikTok representatives had phoned a shadow minister’s office to deny the all
