LOS ANGELES (AP) — Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off homer in the 18th inning and the Dodgers won World Series Game 3, 6-5, after Shohei Ohtani’s historic night.
Ohtani homered twice and tied a 119-year-old major league record with four extra-base hits on Monday night, putting on yet another historic postseason show at Dodger Stadium.
After his four-hit barrage in the first seven innings, Ohtani drew five consecutive walks in this epic extra-inning World Series game, making him the first major leaguer in 83 years to reach base nine times in any game, let alone the postseason.
