HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Rain calms down on Tuesday, but increases into the middle of the week.

DISCUSSION:

After sunrise on Tuesday, the chance of rain in the region will begin to decrease. Some rain may still linger in the far eastern counties of Kentucky and Virginia during the early morning. Still, as the day progresses, the rain will clear completely, leaving behind cloudy skies for the rest of the day, with a slight chance of rain for our western counties in the early afternoon. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid-50s.

Overnight, the rain that popped up in our western counties is expected to increase, with showers likely throughout the region on Wednesday. Almost all cities will experience rain by the afternoon as a low-pressure system moves through the Commonwealth. Light
