Questions have been raised about a renewed push to convert a Western Sydney industrial hub into thousands of homes.
Opposition Leader Mark Speakman on Tuesday spruiked the revival of the former government's proposal to build new homes beside the Parramatta River at a site in Camellia, near the Rosehill Racecourse, that has a long industrial history.
Mr Speakman said if elected in 2027, the Coalition would forge ahead with the project, which it says would deliver 10,000 homes and 15,400 jobs in the region.
Mr Speakman criticised the NSW government for ignoring what he said was a "great opportunity" for housing in the region.
It comes after members of the Australian Turf Club voted earlier this year not to sell the Rosehill Racecourse to the NSW government for redevelopment into housing.
