New Delhi: Battlefield’s long-rumoured battle royale is finally ready to drop, and it is officially free-to-play. Battlefield REDSEC, the standalone battle royale mode built on Battlefield 6’s systems, will launch on October 28 worldwide. For Indian players, the mode will go live at 8:30 PM IST , giving fans a prime-time evening drop. What makes this launch even bigger is that you do not need to own Battlefield 6 to play REDSEC. It is a completely separate free download.

EA had stayed silent about REDSEC during Battlefield 6’s launch month, even though leaks had hinted that a free battle royale was coming. Now the rumours have been confirmed just one day ahead of launch, with REDSEC rolling out as part of Season 1.
