Gandhinagar: Manoj Kumar Das, currently ACS (Home), has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Gujarat. He is set to assume office on November 1, following the superannuation of the present Chief Secretary, Pankaj Joshi.

Das, a 1990-batch IAS officer, is expected to have a tenure of over a year, as he is scheduled to retire in December 2026. A graduate in B.Tech (Hons.) in Computer Science & Engineering, he has been serving as ACS in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), playing a key role in the state administration.
