LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Drier weather is continuing for our Tuesday morning, but that is expected to change as we head into our afternoon and evening.
We’re still on track for our next cold front to push in overnight and that will bring some of the coolest air so far we have seen this season.
Highs today will still warm nicely thanks to southeasterly winds as well as sunshine. We’ll top out in the lower to middle 80s as we gear up for a broken line of showers and storms.
Our best chance of seeing rain comes around 5 p.m. along the Sabine River and will slowly dive south and east with time.
The overall severe threat remains on the lower side, with nothing in comparison to what we saw over the weekend.
