Wind Advisory continues until 5 PM Tuesday for Eastern Carteret County, Hatteras Island, Northern Outer Banks, and Ocracoke Island. Wind gusts could reach as high as 35 mph to 55 mph along the coast.
A Coastal Flood Advisory remains until 11 AM Wednesday for Beaufort, Coastal Carteret, Craven, and Pamlico Counties. 1-2 feet of inundation above ground level with higher rainfall amounts possible. Watch for creeks, streams, and lakes that could impact roads. A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for both Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands until 8 PM Wednesday. Water levels will run 2-3 feet above normal at times.
The rains will continue on Tuesday, with sustained winds out of the northeast from 20-40 mph. Most areas will see an additional 0.50 to 1.00″ of rain through sunset. The rain will tape
