Medina accepts land donation near Huffman/Cunningham Park

MEDINA, Ohio – The city’s Huffman/Cunningham Park will become a bit larger thanks to a donation of property off Weymouth Road.

The city’s finance committee recently accepted a donation of roughly 1.55 acres at 4510 Weymouth Road which is adjacent to the park.

“Mark Taylor who is the owner of the property reached out to the city a number of years ago to see if we would be interested in the land,” Parks and Recreation Director Jansen Wehrley said. “We had an appraisal done, but at the time we didn’t have the funds to acquire the land and the land has sat vacant for some time. Recently, Mr. Taylor contacted the city to see if we would accept the land as a donation.”
