Bengaluru: Global science and technology company Thermo Fisher Scientific on Monday announced the expansion of its Research and Development (R&D) Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, investing ₹160 crore to advance innovation in antibody research and manufacturing .

The expanded facility was inaugurated by Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, CEO, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), in the presence of senior officials from KDEM, KEONICS, and the Karnataka Innovation & Technology Society (KITS).

The 37,000 sq. ft. expansion, equipped with advanced automation and analytical platforms, will focus on antibody design, development, and manufacturing, and is expected to create over 100 new jobs in Karnataka in the coming years, the company said.
