JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A 16-year-old girl who was a passenger in a vehicle was taken to the hospital following a crash involving a deer.
The crash happened a little before 7:15 a.m. Monday along Creek Road in Jefferson Township, Butler County. Advertisement
State police said the 60-year-old woman driving the vehicle encountered a deer in the roadway and was unable to safely avoid a collision, hitting the deer head-on.
The driver and four other passengers between the ages of 11 and 20 were not hurt.
The 16-year-old girl who was injured suffered what police described as a suspected minor injury.
