Amazon said on Oct. 28 that it is cutting 14,000 corporate jobs, confirming reports that began circulating Monday.

In a memo that was shared with employees and later posted on its website, Beth Galetti, Amazon's senior vice president of people experience and technology wrote that the tech giant is targeting "an overall reduction in our corporate workforce of approximately 14,000 roles."

Most of the impacted employees will be offered 90 days to look for a new role within the company, the memo said. Others who don't remain with Amazon will be offered severance pay and other transition benefits, Galetti wrote.
