The afternoon will be a washout with steady rain into the evening and overnight. Winds will pick up for the evening and overnight with 15 to 20 mph and gusts up to 35 mph into Wednesday. The rain will wrap up early Wednesday morning, and we could see around an inch of rain over central Iowa. Areas west of I-35 has the chance to see around 1 to 1.5 inches of rain with less than an inch east of the interstate.
