LOS ANGELES — As Monday morning (when the Jays arrived at Dodger Stadium) turned to Monday afternoon and evening (when they dropped a heartbreaking Game 3 of the World Series ) turned to Tuesday morning, the Blue Jays immediately started looking ahead.
They had no choice, really, after the historic 6-5 18-inning heartbreak loss that gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Fall Classic.
“The Dodgers didn’t win the World Series (on Monday), they won a game,” Jays manager John Schneider said. “These guys are going to be ready tomorrow.
“Longest game in World Series history, whatever it is. I mean these guys are enjoying it. They were in the right headspace the entire time. These guys are going to be more than ready.”
They don’t have much choice, of course, or risk falling into
