BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry is calling on LSU officials to erect a statue of conservative activist on the Baton Rouge campus.
Landry, a Republican, posted a video on social media showing himself standing in front of LSU’s bronze statue of the school’s mascot, Mike the Tiger. In the video, he urges the LSU Board of Supervisors to find a place on campus to display a statue of Kirk “to defend the freedom of speech on college campuses.”
