ANN ARBOR – Michigan’s football team scored four rushing touchdowns in Saturday’s 31-20 win over Michigan State, and there was a common denominator in all of them.
Fifth-year senior tight end/fullback Max Bredeson was on the field blocking.
“Off the field, on the field, he’s the prototypical leader, person, student- athlete, everything that you want a football player,” head coach Sherrone Moore said Monday at his weekly news conference in Ann Arbor. “If you had 11 Max Bredesons, you’d probably go undefeated every year for your whole coaching career, because he is everything you want as a football player… the dude is just unbelievable.”
Bredeson, a two-time captain, isn’t an every-down player for the Wolverines but is a tone-setter when he’s on the field with his rugged, physical style.
