LOS ANGELES — As Monday morning (when the Blue Jays arrived at Dodger Stadium) turned to Monday afternoon and evening (when they dropped a heartbreaking Game 3 of the World Series ) turned to Tuesday morning, the resilient team immediately started looking ahead.

They had no choice, really, after the historic 6-5, 18-inning heartbreak loss that gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Fall Classic.

“The Dodgers didn’t win the World Series (on Monday), they won a game,” Jays manager John Schneider said, by way of immediate rationalization and coping. “These guys are going to be ready tomorrow.

“Longest game in World Series history, whatever it is. I mean these guys are enjoying it. They were in the right headspace the entire time. These guys are going to be more than ready.”
