Two years after introducing Adelaide to her vibrant take on Vietnamese street food, Winnie Vuong is changing gears. The Hawthorn favourite Snazzi Saigon is re-emerging this weekend as An Nam Quan – a refreshed, share-style cafe that leans deeper into dessert territory and the flavours and traditions of old Vietnam.

“It’s basically a refresh- new name, updated menu, and a few changes to the fit-out,” Winne says. “I’m a pastry chef by background, but when we opened, I didn’t have time to focus on desserts – now I finally get to bring in my dream dessert menu.”

The new name carries history. An Nam was the country’s old title during the imperial era, and for Winnie it represents both cultural pride and authenticity.
