WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Wichita police are set to provide an update Tuesday on a deadly shooting that happened last Thursday at Dr. Glen Dey Park, near 27th Street North and Grove.
Travon Stewart, 32, died in the shooting. At the time, a youth football game was taking place at the park, and police estimated that around 200 to 300 people were in attendance. Stewart was selling concessions for another football team's fundraiser when he was shot.
Right now, police haven't made any arrests, but they believe the shooting was targeted and not connected to the youth games.
A $2,500 reward is available through Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
