EAST HOLLYWOOD (KABC) -- All but one southbound lane of the 101 Freeway were shut down for several hours Tuesday morning following a deadly crash involving a motorcyclist in the East Hollywood area.

The crash was reported around 12:30 a.m. at Normandie Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. A motorcycle and sedan were involved in the collision, but additional details were not available.

One person was declared dead at the scene, but it's unclear if that person was the motorcyclist.

All southbound lanes were reopened around 5:30 a.m.
