Top-ranked North Dakota State brings its 8-0 record back to the Fargodome Saturday to host Youngstown State, who enters at 5-3.

YSU is led by quarterback Beau Brungard, who leads the team in both passing and rushing yards. Brungard has thrown for 1,875 yards and 13 touchdowns and ran for another 11.
Doug Phillips is in his sixth season as head coach, he got YSU to the playoffs in 2023, winning a first-round game before falling to Villanova. The Penguins saw some of their best players leave through the transfer portal after that year, and struggled to a 4-8 record last season.
