A man is being sought by police in the Lehigh Valley after, officials said, he fired a gun in the air during an altercation that happened as he attempted to cross a street in Allen Township on Friday.

According to police, the incident happened at about 11:15 p.m. on Friday, at the intersection of Nor Bath Boulevard and Savage Drive in Allen Township when a driver told police he was headed through a green light at the intersection when a gunman stepped into the roadway.

Police said the unidentified gunman attempted to illegally cross Nor Bath Boulevard when, in an attempt to not strike the man with Kia sedan, a 33-year-old driver of the car stopped at the intersection.
