It’s not a secret that Jared Butler has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and this so far has not stopped him from playing professional basketball.

However, according to the Serbian news outlet “ Nova.rs ” the player has not passed the first medical exams after signing with Crvena Zvezda .

That’s why Butler will not be available in the upcoming EuroLeague game against LDLC ASVEL, and probably the Serbian club will contact more doctors in order to get the player re-evaluated.

Due to his condition, in June 2021, Butler was referred to a fitness-to-play panel by the NBA and was not permitted to play or practice; however, he got cleared one month later and has 148 NBA games under his belt.
