Ryan Conwell, one of the top college basketball players to hit the NCAA transfer portal this past offseason, took a long and winding path to Louisville.

The 6-foot-4 guard from Indianapolis made three trips through the portal after coaching changes at each of his previous stops.

"I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason," said Conwell, whose father hails from the 502. "I'm in this position for a reason."
