A new high school is opening up in Sioux Falls next year.
St. Joseph Classical Academy, which had its first-ever day of school Aug. 22, 2024, will have its first day of high school in fall 2026 and welcome its first freshman class.
Head of School Sara Hofflander said the school is preparing for an inaugural class of 20 students and has had many parents ask to get on a waiting list before the school begins accepting applications Dec. 1.
The school is located in the city’s original Catholic school buildings adjacent to the Cathedral of St. Joseph, and is an approved Catholic school by the diocese of Sioux Falls.
