Amrita Chauhan, the 21-year-old who is the prime accused in the murder of the Delhi USPC aspirant, was disowned by her family more than a year before the murder.
Her parents had announced on July 8, 2024, in an advertisement in a newspaper, that they were severing all ties with her. The copy of the document has been submitted to the court as evidence, Aaj Tak reported.
In the advertisement, Amritha’s father wrote that he was disinheriting his daughter from all his property due to misconduct.
He also said that he and his family have nothing to do with any of her actions.
