Sunday night saw the eagerly anticipated return of Trigger Point to our screens for a third season, starring Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure .

The ITV crime-thriller immerses audiences in the high-octane stories of a bomb disposal unit within the metropolitan police, focusing on the struggles of Expo Lana Washington.

Having faced off against a terrorist group in the last series, viewers were treated to a gripping climax in which Lana used her prowess to avoid a certain catastrophe at Counter Terrorism HQ.

This was, of course, juxtaposed with the significant personal loss and turmoil, all of which left Lana in a less-than-stable position by the end of the 2024 series.
