The City of Toronto is speeding through construction projects yet again, as it announced streetcar track replacement on King Street and Dufferin Street is set to finish two weeks in advance.

The busy downtown intersection is expected to reopen on Thursday to drivers and commuters, said the city on social media.

It said the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will test the newly installed streetcar tracks during the week of Nov. 3.

“Crews have been hard at work on the streetcar track replacement at King and Dufferin,” said the city. “Thank you for your patience as we completed this critical state of good repair work.”
