Star India wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul has revealed that he was not supposed to play against Pakistan in the Super 4 game of the 2023 Asia Cup and it was Shreyas Iyer who was meant to bat at No. 4, but an unfortunate back spasm for the latter led him to be replaced by Rahul.

Rahul has come into his own, but a few years ago, many felt he had not realised his potential. The year 2023 marked a turning point in his career, as he bounced back from a severe injury during the IPL to make a brilliant comeback.
