ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Hoo Haven is hosting its annual free open house event this Sunday, featuring live bands, food, and a mini-golf course.

The event aims to educate the public about North American wildlife and provide a fun, engaging experience for families and individuals. Visitors can enjoy various activities, including crafts and tours of the animal exhibits, all at no cost.

"Education is one of our largest missions at Hoo Haven," said Donald Czyzyk, Public Relations Coordinator for Hoo Haven.

One of the highlights of the event is the new mini-golf course, which was recently donated to Hoo Haven. This addition allows visitors to enjoy a round of mini golf as they tour the facility and learn about the animals.
