GREENVILLE, S.C. —
South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster is expected to make an announcement Tuesday about the loss of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits in South Carolina.

Last week it was announced the benefits would be halted beginning in November due to the government shutdown.
McMaster's office announced Monday that on Tuesday the governor would "hold a press conference with community and state leaders to announce that the Central Carolina Community Foundation has activated the One SC Fund in response to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) announcement that federal funding for SNAP (food stamps) benefits will be halted effective November 1, 2025."
