BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - A man has been arrested for driving under the influence after allegedly nearly crashing into a deputy’s vehicle.
At around 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, a Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling in the area of Russellville Road and Blue Level Road when he observed a gray Ford Escape driving towards him in his lane of travel.
The Ford appeared to be maintaining the same speed while driving directly towards the deputy’s vehicle, according to an arrest citation. The deputy then swerved into the next lane to avoid a head-on collision.
After initiating a traffic stop, the sheriff’s deputy said the Ford remained traveling in the opposite lane before parking at a Huck’s gas station on Russellville Road.
