There has been a major shakeup in this week’s Bay Area News Group high school football rankings.
With league races winding down and the playoffs right around the corner, this week’s Top 25 was essentially a reset after the wild results in Week 9.
California fell out of the Top 10 after losing by 21 points at Monte Vista, which jumped from 20th to 10th after the impressive victory over an opponent that has wins over McClymonds and San Ramon Valley on its resume.
St. Francis returned to the Top 10 despite its 3-5 record. The Lancers’ losses were to De La Salle, Archbishop Riordan, Serra, McClymonds and Cathedral Catholic-San Diego.
Archbishop Mitty, which has a close loss to St. Francis on its resume, jumped back to the Top 10 after a competitive defeat last week to Serra.
