President Trump has appealed the guilty verdicts against him in the Stormy Daniels hush money case , blasting the prosecution as politically motivated and seeking to wipe clean the criminal record he racked up before his return to power.

The president’s legal team, in a 96-page brief filed just before midnight Tuesday, rehashed several arguments they made before, during, and after Trump’s 2024 New York trial. They accused Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of having “manufactured felony charges” under political pressure, the trial court judge, Justice Juan Merchan, of bias, and argued the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity should have protected him from prosecution.
