Police announced last week they had charged Kirby Ronald Spence, 30, with second-degree murder following the death of Mark O’Keefe, 42. Article content

O’Keefe’s body was found on the morning of Dec. 12, 2023 when Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a call of a suspicious death. A few moments later, a vehicle fire on Tower Road was reported to officers. Investigators believed the two incidents were related.

Victoria Sheila Elizabeth Hilliard, 29 was arrested by police in Toronto last month and also charged with second-degree murder. Cpl. Troy Savinkoff, a spokesperson with Alberta RCMP, said Hilliard has no fixed address.
