The Toronto Maple Leafs will have to wait and see if William Nylander will make his return to the lineup.

Head coach Craig Berube told reporters on Tuesday that Nylander is a game-time decision.

Nylander missed Saturday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres, the first regular-season game he had missed since April 4, 2022.

He has recorded three goals and 11 assists in eight contests so far this season.

Calle Jarnkrok is unlikely to play because of a lower-body injury that he suffered after he took a hard shot off the foot against the Sabres. In eight games, the 34-year-old has three goals.

After Tuesday’s home date with the Flames, the Maple Leafs travel to Columbus to face the Blue Jackets the next night.
