The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office provided an updated timeline and new information on the disappearance of 9-year-old Melodee Buzzard on Friday as the search continues.
The Context
Officials began investigating after a school administrator reported Buzzard’s extended absence.
The sheriff’s office said it is focusing on a three-day period, at the conclusion of which Melodee’s mother, 35-year-old Ashlee Buzzard, returned to her home without Melodee.
The sheriff’s office said Ashlee has been “uncooperative” and has not provided any information about her daughter’s location or well-being.
Melodee is described as approximately 4-foot-6, weighing 60 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Melodee’s father, Rubiell Meza, died when she was a baby, KEYT reported. Bridgett Truitt, Me
